Covid 19 Update

Last updated 14th May 2021

Following the latest government advice, from Monday 17 May all our shared facilities (including showers) at Skegness Sands will be open and operating in line with government guidance and at reduced capacity.

We will be asking all members and guests staying Skegness Sands, to wear face coverings (unless exempt) when using the toilet blocks, disabled facilities, laundry and food preparation areas and dishwashing facilities.

We would like to remind you that we are currently not able to allow visitors on-site to meet with other guests to help keep members and staff safe at this time.

Our covid secure protocols mean we can operate our shared facilities with carefully managed social distancing measures in place to minimise household mixing. However, we would still strongly recommend the use of your own facilities wherever possible, if you are able to do so, as this will greatly reduce the risk of transmission. We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience at this time.

Last updated 23rd April 2021

Following the recent Government announcements, we are very pleased to be able to provide a further update on the use of shared facilities.

Based on the latest Government guidance issued late on the 8th April, we are pleased to announce that the toilets and shared washing and cleaning facilities excluding showers are now open.

The current provisional date for reopening showers is 17th May 2021, however, this will be dependent on further Government guidance.

We will require all members and guests over the age of 16 to provide Test and Trace information. If you already have the NHS Covid-19 app, you will be asked to use this on arrival at the campsite for all party members over the age of 16. If you do not have the app, you will be provided with a log sheet to complete.

We'd like to remind you that we are currently not able to allow visitors on-site to meet with other guests to help keep members and staff safe at this time.

The recent statement by the UK Government on the gradual easing of the current lockdown restrictions is welcome news.

However, the Government advice does not currently give the dates that campsites and touring sites are able to reopen and is conditional on further progress being made.

At this time we are planning on the assumption that we will be able to open our site during July.

We look forward to receiving the full briefing documents from the Government which will enable us to make firmer plans for reopening.

We will, of course, ensure customers are made aware of any changes or alterations to this position and we would ask you to regularly check the website for updates. Please only call the office if you have an urgent enquiry.
